Spain- The current exchange rate (2019) of Euro to US Dollar is 1.12. So if you go to Spain with US$2000 you will get €1780. Although Spain is not the most expensive part of Europe, travelling around other parts of the continent will cost you an arm and a leg.
Argentina- The current exchange rate in Argentina is great. If you come to Buenos Aires with US$2000, the official rate will give you $86,884 Pesos!! Also, travelling around the country and to different parts of South America is comparatively much cheaper. Basically, the dollar goes a long way here in Argentina!
Spain- Spain has great nature and wildlife to see. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Argentina- Argentina is home to one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. Enough said.
Spain- Spanish nightlife is great fun, go and try some typical drinks like Sangria. Just be careful not to go to Magaluf, Majorca, Menorca or Ibiza if you’re not looking to run into clubbing crazy English speakers!
Argentina- Buenos Aires is a city full of things to do and an incredible nightlife. They say New York City never sleeps, but coming to Buenos Aires makes you think those New Yorkers do get a bit of beauty sleep after all. In the city you can always find a bar, nightclub theatre open, or music performance to go to! Expect your average night out to be finishing around 5:00am (at least), meaning after gathering with friends, many start going to the clubs from 2am onwards. Due to gorgeous weather you can also find my rooftop terrace bars and open air dance floors.
Incredible Climate Range:
Spain- Spain has three climatic types: in the North (Basque Country, Cantabria and Galicia) you will find a maritime climate, with cool summers and can often get cloudy weather with frequent rainfall. On the Mediterranean coast, the climate is moderate with rain in spring and autumn. Inland, the summers are hot and the rainfall decreases.
Argentina- Due to Argentina’s incredible land, spanning from North to South, you really can find a mix of every climate type you can possibly think of. Go skiing in Bariloche, mountain climbing in Mendoza, tanning on the beach in Pinamar, or to the Salt flats in the Jujuy! Spain is good for a bit of sun, but travel at low cost all around Argentina and experience a bit of everything!
Spain- Spain has various cuts of meat, although they are primarily known for their pork.
Argentina- Argentina is known around the globe to have some of the highest quality red meats. It is basically a meat lovers haven. Come to Argentina and go crazy at a Parrilla, eating cuts of meat you didn’t even know existed. So delicious!
Spain- Go to Spain to see Real Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao and others.
Argentina- Come to Argentina to watch La Boca, River, Independiente, Racing among many others. But, unlike Spain, it’s not only about the teams and the sport, it’s all about the Fiesta and the passion!! The vibe inside cancha (or stadium) is indescribable-
These do not compare to an American Football game. Come see for yourself the streamers, fireworks, bands with drums, mascots, and fans chanting great songs in harmony! It is something you do not want to miss.
Sexy Spanish Accent:
Spain- In Spain you have to learn one extra verb tense, Vosotros. This is the “you” plural. They also tend to talk with a kind of lisp. This can make one stand out as being from Spain, but don’t worry, Spanish speakers all over the world will still understand you!
Argentina- The Argentine “Castellano” is very different to the traditional Spanish. Once you get used to it you will find yourself using all sorts of argentine slang and lunfardo. In Argentina, the “you” plural is ustedes, which is also “you” plural formal. The Argentine accent is said to be one of the sexiest of all the Spanish varieties. Who doesn’t want to be speaking some sexy Spanish?
So the big question is, which will you choose? … Let me give you a hint, obviously ARGENTINA!
