Garrett Bredenkamp - Volunteer 2009.
"The Road2Argentina program was the perfect launching point for my successful stay in Buenos Aires. I knew no Spanish whatsoever when I arrived, and they helped me navigate my first several days in the city. I would not have been able to have such a seamless and smooth start to my trip if it weren’t for the assistance of R2A. Above all, R2A serves as a common denominator and jumping off point for you to meet many interesting a fun people in Buenos Aires. So many people are there doing so many different things, its impossible to not make new connections and new friends. Between the Roadhouse, which houses many residents, and the R2A outings, which brings together the rest, you will always have an opportunity to network and meet many new friends from around the world. The best thing about my trip to Buenos Aires was my homestay Family, which R2A arranged for me. My housemom was like a real mother away from home. She cooked me food, made sure I never forgot anything, helped me with spanish, and chastized me if I didn’t do my homework. What more could you ask for? I made a bond with my house family that I know will last for the rest of my life. It truly was a life changing experience. Overall, I would recommend Road 2 Argentina as the perfect place to start your Buenos Aires experience. They provide the local support and knowledge that ensures your seamless integration into Buenos Aires culture and life. The people you meet will be your network of friends and contacts for your entire stay, and maybe even become your friends for life. I am glad I chose R2A and could not be more satisfied."
Vivienne Damatan - Spanish Program 2009
"Road2Argentina is an absolutely amazing program! From my first day in Buenos Aires, R2A made me feel welcomed and connected. I spent two months at the RoadHouse studying Spanish at a partner school and soaking in Buenos Aires culture by attending concerts, touring the city, and taking part in the amazing night life. Although I did a lot of traveling throughout Argentina, the RoadHouse provided me with a home base to return to after each mini-adventure. I would suggest this program for anyone who is looking to explore Argentina while still feeling at home. I left Argentina with not only with a better understanding of the language and culture, but also with friends from around the world. Thanks, R2A! I'll never be the same."

"I've had a phenomenal time. A truly invaluable experience. Working at Casa Vela has been a trying but sweet and rewarding time for me; I actually don't think that 2 months is sufficient to really hammer in the results I want, but I know that just spending time with these kids, and letting them know that people are here for them makes that much of a difference. Thank you for putting on the events that you did and being so readily available to talk and ask questions. It's nice to know that while abroad, I had someone who 'had my back;' it's definitely a selling point for me. It's been an unreal experience that I'll take with me for the rest of my life, and I'm glad that Road was able to help provide that for me."
Beatrice Larkin - Law Intern 2009
"I have two words for anyone considering signing up for a program with Road2Argentina: DO IT! My two months in Buenos Aires was truly a fulfilling and rewarding experience. I interned at a boutique law firm, Quevedo Abogados, and worked under the supervision of a renowned and accomplished lawyer who has been recognised by international publications as one of the leading lawyers in Argentina. The city itself is incredible; it is full of energy and there is so much to see and do. Furthermore, participation in the program provides you with the opportunity to meet and make friends with people from all over the world."
Jack Greig - Human Rights & Politics intern - 2010
"My time in Argentina was one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable experiences of my life to date. The people, the country and the entire experience was amazing. R2A had a big hand in making my experience so unforgettable, providing a great host family, easily accessible work experience and regular social events to network and make new friends. I definitely recommend R2A if you are looking for a thrilling cultural immersion."
Jigna Desai – International Business Intern 2008-2009
"I just wanted to thank you and the rest of the Road2Argentina staff for making my stay in Buenos Aires so enjoyable. Everything, from my apartment, internship, and the activities, was perfect. I really think that I was able to get so much out of my time in Buenos Aires due to the program. My apartment was in a secure, central location. Working at Bairexport provided me with great experience in terms of exposure to the Latin American exporting market, and I was able to develop my business Spanish speaking skills as well. Road2Argentina was there to bring my whole experience together with the activities and as a home base in Buenos Aires. I felt certain that if I ever needed anything or came across any problems, Road would provide resources to help me in any way possible. I cannot thank you enough for affording me that invaluable experience in Buenos Aires and I hope to return sometime in the near future."

Adrian Lewis - Volunteer 2009
"I was looking for a volunteer program in Buenos Aires, and I researched a lot of different programs but none of them gave you as much freedom to really design your own program as road did. They offer so many volunteer options as well. I loved working at Fundamind. I really miss the little kids! Katie and Paige were also really nice and helpful when I started preparing my trip and after I arrived in Argentina. Everyone at Road was so accessible and there was always someone around to answer my questions."
Natalie Rios - Tourism Intern 2009

"Patagonia has been fantastic! We've been very productive and our Spanish has improved immensely. We can't believe that today is our last day here. We're spending today packing and baking cookies and brownies to give to the boys that we help during study hall every night--there may be tears (on both ends)!"
Joseph Coleman - Hospital Intern 2009
"I am really glad I chose to work with Road this past Spring in Buenos Aires. I worked at a public hospital and was able to do more than I ever would have been able to do in the states. I learned so much from my work in the hospital and living in Buenos Aires for 3 months was incredible. I highly recommend it."
Leah Spelman interned at a human rights NGO in 2008:
"I did background research to see what political and social problems were occurring in certain provinces, I tabulated and synthesized data from students after they had participated in financial education programs, and I researched racism in Africa for a background Model UN paper. Also everyone spoke Spanish in the office, and they were patient with me when I could not articulate what I wanted to say. Most of the research I did was in Spanish, and I definitely feel my Spanish improved due to this internship. This internship was great and I recommend it to anyone who wants exposure to NGO work in another country."
Michael Bush - International Business Intern 2009

Natasha Shazana - Spanish Student 2009
"My experience in Argentina through R2A was "buenisimo"! I took classes with enthusiastic and helpful teachers. With Road's help I was able to achieve my goals in traveling to Argentina. They organized Spanish classes and an internship with a small local NGO on less than two weeks notice. I met a lot of really friendly and interesting people while living in the Roadhouse. People in the Roadhouse were incredibly inclusive, so I never had a difficult time keeping busy. I highly recommend Road to anyone looking to spend time in Argentina. They tailored a schedule for me to perfectly fit my interests and goals."
